Yea Wright

It was a busy day, but I was looking forward to dinner and then to see Steven Wright. Well I really think I should say ‘hear’ Steven Wright but whatever. I got a lot done at work and then at the end of the day got hung up on a simple problem. It seems like there is just so much to do at work but I have to remember to just do one thing at a time and be happy with the progress that we make each day.

OH total tangent but I had probably the best meatball sub of my life today at 2nd St. Cafe. I have been looking around for a place that make decent homemade meatballs and I have finally found it!

I took off from work at like 4:50 and headed over to Park Street to meet my buddy Chris. We headed over into Downtown Crossing to look for somewhere to eat. I had already look at places to eat near there and had come across Ruth Chris Steak House. I thought it would be a bit upscale for what we were looking for and I just wanted to eat but it was great.

We got some crap about reservations but after the hostesses finished their rant about space they went ahead and sat us in the bar. The service was great and the steak was unbelievable. We both got ribeye steaks and I know mine was mouth-watering.

It was raining but not to hard so we walked over to the theater and got our seat. We had mezzanine seats center stage-they rocked. The opening act was pretty funny (god I feel like an idiot I can’t remember his name!)

The show was just great. It got really hot on the mezzanine and the show went until about ten which was pretty impressive considering he started at like 8:15 or so. There were so many good jokes I would be hard pressed to name more than five but here was one I liked a lot:

“I have three brothers and one sister.”

“My sister has three brothers and no sisters.”

There was more to it but god it was funny 🙂

I also liked that yes and no mean the same thing:

Yes it is not raining out

No it is raining out

Ahh maybe I am messing it up and should leave it to the master. What a great show. There were a few jokes that just make me say “wow that is true” more than laugh.

Walked home and here I am. Tired and not wanting to write this but knew that I wouldn’t want to write it even more tomorrow.

Night…
