The day started off with Emmy’s class. Man was it a lot hotter this morning than it was last night. I was also noticing that I was pretty sore from Raj’s class the night before. Ahh the cumulative effect of all of the yoga! Class was great and then Adrienne and I out to get some lunch. She said she wasn’t feeling well and I noticed that many of the students were getting colds which is totally normal around this time. I got sick during week 2.
Anyway we went to the local smoothie place and got a drink and then over to this Mexican place for some food. It was nice walking around and seeing all of the different yogis. I practiced next to Tu the night before. It was good to see him again…
Once we got back I headed to the room because I needed to lay down and get some rest. I didn’t want to miss Emmy’s lecture on pain but I didn’t wake up until 1:10 or so and then ran downstairs to the lecture hall. I caught about half of it. After that Dr. P started up with Anatomy. I headed upstairs and ate some food and got ready for class.
I sat down at one of the sign in desks and greeted the students and answered any questions that they had. Really it’s all about being nice. The students are having a hard enough time. If I give then a smile and nudge I’m happy and I hope it’s helped them in some way.
Class was really hard. Not only was it hotter and more humid than a hell for hells rejects but Raj was really killing us. I thought I was going to die a few times and just couldn’t get my breath back. I did all of the postures but at some point in the class it became about just making it through. I’m not setting up on the left side anymore because you can see the door from there and everyone is going in and out and its really distracting…
Natalie came over and practiced near me we talked about doing the advanced class at headquarters. Earlier in the day I met Nikhail and he told me about advanced at HQ and suggested that I go and check it out.
After the class I came upstairs and cramped up for awhile. One of my ab muscles was just hard as a rock sticking out. It didn’t feel very pleasant. I’d taken in so much salt prior to the class but I think it just doesn’t matter. That type of exertion is going to cause some cramping…I made some cup of soup and then ate a whole box of mac & cheese and rushed to the posture clinic meeting.
I got paired up with Maggie and then Nikhail joined us. Clinic was so much fun. It is great to be there and be present for the students. It is such and honor and experience.
Back in the room I got to sleep around 12…
