I happened to say that to a friend the other day…”probably definitely”. We laughed about how silly that statement actually is…
I suppose everything is definite in a probably sort of way, or maybe things are probable in a definite sort of way? I know I changed it around but oh well.
I came home from the meeting tonight hoping to get to bed sort of early so that I could get up and go through my morning routine before going into work, but here I am up late. What got me tonight was setting up my 401k. I am not going to talk about how freaking clueless I am when it comes to small, large, and mid caps. I know I am not alone there and a quick scan of the net made me even more unsure of my choices. When it was close or I wasn’t sure what to do I just went with the one that had more stars or the one that I felt was a good choice. Talk about a subjective choice based on nothing but “what felt right”. Hah. I think it is great that my retirement lies in the wake of a hunch or a silly choice.
Just the simple fact that I am talking about retirement is a miracle. One day at a time, I know, but it is really funny. I never thought that I would actually be here to even be thinking about things like this again. I don’t know what I heard tonight at the meeting but I have to say I heard what I needed to hear to get another day clean. I am grateful for that and for the fact that I was willing to show up for all areas of my life today.
