Wow we are just cranking through the floor series! Instead of a bunch of different post I’m condensing them into one…
Wind Removing Pose
We did this pose along with savasana. It was pretty cool to do both postures and work in the transition. I felt pretty good delivering the posture and was connected to the students. I got good feed back and the teachers wanted me to continue “doing what I was doing while working with more bodies and corrections.”
Cobra
This was really fun. We had to deliver the sit-up and then cobra posture. I felt really strong during the delivery and it felt good but I was going so fast with the dialogue that I got a bit disconnected from the students. The teachers thought that I should slow down a bit and differentiate the setup from the actual posture.
Locust
This posture went OK but I thought it was a little flat. I was giving corrections and got a bit thrown off base but easily came back and finished really strong. The teachers agreed that I had done my homework from the previous posture and separated the setup from the actual posture and did well on the corrections.
Full Locust
This one really rocked. I was getting distractions and giving corrections but was really solid and stayed in the posture no problem. My homework was more corrections and start stringing postures together.
Bow
I did this one today and it went really well. Good corrections and dialogue. I felt really relaxed and had really good fun. The teachers gave me good feedback and encouraged me to continue doing what I was doing and string two postures together next time.
Wow that is a lot of stuff. Anyway I’m feeling pretty good today and just really taking the pressure off of myself for posture clinic. The teachers keep telling us that it is a laboratory to experiment so that is what I’m gonna do. I’m going to try but try different things and see what works and just have fun. Man I wish I’d adopted this attitude a bit earlier :).
