Monday
Got up and went over to SeaWorld in San Antonio. We went on two roller coasters the Eel and The Great White the later was much more fun but both were cool.
The park was a lot of fun but pretty easy to see everything in a short period of time. Everything is pretty much centered around Shamu but we missed that show! We got to see the sea lions, seals, sharks, dolphins, and other marine life.
What was truly amazing was seeing the Clydesdale horses. These horses are freaking enormous and they seem so docile. There was one horse called Drummer that was really cool.
After SeaWorld we headed for Austin.
Once we got into town we did some laundry and then met up with Jay’s Aunt and cousin’s for dinner. We went to the Iguana grille and the food was just great.
After dinner we went back to his Aunt’s house for more palaver.
Tuesday
Got up and made it to a noon-time meeting. Afterwards we had some sushi and more conversation and then headed to the bat bridge. All of the bats were still sleeping or whatever it is they do so we didn’t get to see any. Apparently they come out at dusk but we didn’t hang around long enough to see them come out.
We headed over the the University of Texas and checked out all of the sights. Hung out and grabbed a coffee a good friend reminded me that I do live in the college capital of the country :).
That leaves the dinner we just ate and the movie we are about to head off to 🙂
