Green Five Minus

I went climbing yesterday. I went alone so I just did some bouldering…

Started off with a few warm-ups:

V0 – V1

Then I moved on to a few V2’s and then I started doing some work problems:

This cluster of problems is on the second boulder with the inset face

V3- Green (maybe this was another color)
V4 White
V5- Green

I really struggled with the 5- for awhile. I got some beta but it just wasn’t happening. I went around the corner and started working a V4+ called “That’s one high hooker” A cool problem that is doable but the crux move is a throw to a slotted hold. It starts off with a high left heel hook.

I finished on the first boulder

V3- Pink squiggle
V3 Green
V3+ Blue

These were on the front face. I think they were kids problems in the comp last week.

I noticed my trap getting pretty sore and so I backed off. There is nothing worse than that muscle seizing up…

I was really impressed with the V4 as I have never flashed a 4 before. Hell I don’t even think I have done a 4 before!
