I went to the Elvis Costello show the other night and here is an actual account of what happened before the show:

I was outside waiting for my friends to come and it was like 8:20 so I thought that he may have went inside and left the ticket outside for me. I went up to the door person and asked he told me that no one did that and then was really nice and went in to check at the box office too. He told me that no one left a ticket for me and I was like “Thanks…” I thought it was really nice of him to do even that…Anyway this guy come outside and asks me if I need a ticket and I told him well I am waiting for my friend who has my ticket. I thought he was trying to scalp a ticket or something but then I realized he may have been asking me if I “want” one. Anyway there was a woman outside doing promotions for the Visa signature card, Victoria, and she said to me “Do you want to go in and then you can wait for your friends inside?” I was like “UHHHH sure!” I was totally conflicted because I didn’t want my friends to worry but it all worked out in the end. I dunno I was just so moved by that act of kindness…Anyway my friends got there and I took the ticket and brought it to the door guy to give to someone else…

Can you believe it?!?! Cool stuff. I suppose what is cool is that I spent so long not being approachable or able to be given anything. Maybe it is luck but I think there is something spiritual at work here…

Anyway the show was amazing I got to hang out with good friends and listen to great music! I got a kick out of “pump it up” done like a Weird Al polka…well he did it really really fast!
