I love it when people say “OH he is very smart and a well educated man, but he didn’t know anything about x”?
The whole point of education is the process of learning something you didn’t already know, or to refine something you already know. Being smart and knowing are two different things in my book. I am certain there are plenty of people out there who know a whole lot but are not very smart. It all goes back to your definition of the terms.
So the questions are:
“What does being smart mean to you?”
“Is the educated person automatically a smart person? Does the law of transitivity apply here? (a = b, and b=c, then a=c)”
