So I have been to two parties this weekend. The first was on Friday over my neighbor Amy’s house. It was fun to meet her co-workers and hang out for awhile. To be honest was really glad she had the party earlier because I was still able to watch a movie after :).
Saturday marked the start of the 80th festival for Saints Cosmos and Damien, Italian healing saints. I spent the day cleaning up and getting ready for a few friends to come over. I felt overwhelmed for most of the day and everything was a bit of a struggle. I just haven’t wanted to do anything lately, but I just ignore what my head is telling me and push forward.
The opening ceremony was great (all of this happens right in front of my house).

The fireworks were great this year and the wind seemed to carry the smoke off much better this year!
My friends and I went back to our meeting and once we finished up I went over to Warren St. to enjoy the festival. I hung out for awhile and then went to Jade’s house. Some friends were there and they were rolling sushi. It was nice to hang out, catch up, and meet some new people.
Frankie Avalon was performing over on Cambridge street so we all walked over to watch. I bumped into my friend Mark and we started shoot the shit on Warren St. I really like the fact that I live in a close knit community. A place where people actually care about people, a place where we all matter. It really is nice.
Anyway I watched Scary Movie 4 and then went to sleep. I woke up pissed about some things but was able to express myself in an open and honest way.
